Posted Jan 4 2025 Hello Eagles, Welcome to 2025. The first half of our Eagle year was very busy and productive and we expect the second half to be even better. SOME IMPORTANT NOTICES: Yard Sale 27 February: There will be a meeting on January 7 at 9:00 am at the Aerie for discussion and planning of the yard sale. We are looking for volunteers and donations. If you are able, please attend. Fish Fry: For those of you who haven’t noticed, there is a Fish Fry on the first Friday of the month. Join us for Fish and Chips at a great price. Open House/Membership: This year’s statewide open house is January 18th from 11:00 to 4:00. Bring a non-member friend and introduce them to our Aerie. There will be drawings, 50/50, and complimentary hamburgers and hotdogs. We are 178 new/reenroll members away from our net gain, which is the number of members that we had on 31 May 2024. Help our Aerie reach net gain and continue on to net gain plus 2% which is our ultimate goal. Maintaining and increasing our membership is crucial to continuing to be a thriving and vibrant Aerie. Grand Worthy President Peter Akers will visit our Aerie on the evening of January 28th. Please join us in welcoming GWP Peter and Cindy to our Aerie for Horse Racing, Taco Tuesday, Queen of Hearts drawing, and live music. GWP Peter is always interested in talking with Aerie members and exploring ways to improve the Eagle experience. Building Fund: Last month the Aerie voted to move $200,000.00 from our Edward Jones account to Pioneer Title Agency to pay down the principle for our property mortgage. We have sent that check and our principle is now approximately $379,000.00. We have continued with our fundraising efforts with $18,843.56 in the last 60 days. This total includes member donations of 15,700.56, Loudmouth $726.00, Horse Racing $2,124.00, and Darts $293.00. We would like to acknowledge several large donations: FOE 4538 Auxiliary $8000.00, Curley and Jan Gordon $3316.00, Harry and Sharlotte Miller $1,000.00, Pat and Roger Larson $1000.00. We appreciate all our donors and their donations and a complete list may be found on our web site. Eagles Cash Grab: We have sold about half of the 300 tickets. If you are interested in possibly turning $100.00 into $10,000.00 see any Officer, Trustee, or Bartender. Tickets are $100.00 and the drawing will be held immediately after the last ticket is sold.
